Event Overview – L2L Lite

L2L Lite is a 103km multisport event that will be held on Saturday 20th of November in conjunction with day two of the 2010 Genesis Energy Lake to Lighthouse Challenge. This additional event has been created to suit those who may be constrained by time or fitness levels, or those who may want to test the waters (+ roads and tracks) before committing to the main event in the future.

We have helped maintain the entry fee at a lower level by removing the functions from the entry package, however it will be possible to purchase function tickets at the time of entry for competitors and support crew.

Starting from Tuai race village 15 minutes behind the main event field, the L2L Lite will traverse the identical route concurrently with day two of the main event. The course therefore will consist of four stages, being Stages Five to Eight of the main event

Stage Five            23km Mountain Bike        Tuai to Ohuka

Stage Six             43km Road Cycle             Ohuka to Waitahora

Stage Seven         21km Kayak                    Waitahora to Wairoa

Stage Eight          16km Run                       Wairoa to Wairoa

The event will conclude with Prize giving at 1600hrs at the finish line adjacent the Wairoa Lighthouse.
