Welcome to the Genesis Energy Lake Waikaremoana Challenge. Three different one day event formats for 2013 will offer the following options for trail runners, mountain bikers and multisporters -
The format for all events will comprise registration, scrutineering and welcome buffet dinner function on Friday November 15th with competition on Saturday November 16th. The prize giving / awards dinner will be held on Saturday evening following the competition. Sunday will remain free for travel home, or to engage in more of the legendary Waikaremoana hospitality with family & fun activities. Once again, Tuai village at Lake Waikaremoana will host the event start / finish and all activities. To view our 2011 Event Television coverage, click here

 New Event Format
Following our recent survey and extensive consultation we have
elected to reduce the 2013 event to a single day race totaling 105km in four stages. Feedback told us that the biggest barriers to entering the race have been the time away needed to contest a two day event, coupled with the level of training required for such a tough event.... Congratulations !!
